City Gate Resource Clinic Report

Wow! The Lord certainly did bless our first resource clinic of the year. Our set up team arrived at City Gate Mission here in Coatesville, PA at 7:30 this morning. Tim Barbee already had our new 53’ equipment trailer backed into place and the team began to unload and get everything set into place. There is lots of things to do during the set up; tents, tables, chairs, food, drinks, and everything else must all be put into place and made ready. Thankfully, our hard working leadership team makes it look easy.

After everything was set up, we gathered for final instructions and prayer. Pastor Steve Dixon was the leader for this event so he gave all the last minute instructions to the volunteers. We’re thankful for Steve being the leader.

Next, we enjoyed a powerful message by brother Denny Mitchell. Denny is a missionary to the homeless and one of our resource clinic leaders. He preached on salvation and did a great job.

After the service, it was time for lunch. April Sharpe and Bekah Dixon were in charge of getting the BBQ served to all the hungry guests. We use volunteers to carry the plates to the tables and it’s a lot like eating in a restaurant. Within about ten minutes everyone was eating.

After lunch, we opened the resource stations. Our guests had access to haircuts, medical care, Bibles, reading glasses, clothing, birth certificates, resumes and more. The children enjoyed the face painting booth.

We want to extend a BIG thank you to all of our hard working leadership team and volunteers who came out to make today’s event happen. These awesome events truly are team efforts and we are thankful that God has blessed us with faithful servants who love people.
