Ministry Update 4-10-15

On Thursday of this week we had quite a bit of activity on our facebook accounts! I posted some pictures of little 1 year old Justin who lives at the dump site here in Bacolod City, Philippines. We met him a few days ago and his mother asked for our help.

I mentioned on facebook that the medicine we bought to help him only cost around $15.
Several people shared our picture and answered the call to donate just $15 for 10 children’s medical needs. We are thankful for the people who have donated to help. Some sponsored 10 children and some sponsored one or more. We are thrilled about that.
We have now added a place on our website where you can donate directly to the medical needs for the children.

A new meal center opening soon
Last week Pastor Steve Dixon from Porters Grove Baptist Church in Rising Sun, MD was here with a mission team. They were a real blessing to us and they decided to make a continual investment in the lives of one particular community.

We have been ministering in Barangay 16 here in Bacolod for three months now. Each week we visit, hold Bible studies, and bring about 10-15 people to church with us from this area.
There are tons of children in this area and we have been praying about beginning a new meal center there. When Pastor Dixon and the team visited with us in Barangay 16, God touched their hearts.
They have given us a donation to get us started with a weekly meal ministry and they have pledged weekly support so that we can reach this community.
We are extremely grateful for their generosity and for making this new outreach possible. We will begin the first week of May.
Medical clinic is approaching
We are excited that the GPA medical mission team will be arriving here on April 22nd! This team of 12 will work very hard for 8 straight days to bring medical relief and evangelism to as many as 150 people per day. They are true soldiers for the Lord and we are anticipating their arrival.
Resource clinic in Coatesville, PA
Next Saturday will be our third annual resource clinic at City Gate Mission in Coatesville, PA. Please pray for our team that will be traveling there and for the many churches that are working hard to make sure this event is a great success.
They will be bringing help and hope to many hurting and needy people that day.
A new comfort room
Here in the Philippines they call a bathroom a comfort room. This week at the church a new one is being built. We are providing the funds for this project and the church members are building it. Thanks for donating so we can do projects like this.
