Ministry Update 4-27-18

This weekend the Unsheltered resource clinic team is in Pennsylvania for our first event of 2018. Tomorrow is the big day and the location is City Gate Mission in Coatesville. There will be hundreds of people seeking our help throughout the day. They will come for food, clothing, medical care and all the other free resources we will be providing.

We are happy to provide those services because they truly benefit the families and individuals who receive them. However, our team understands that the real resource we are offering is not material. As a matter of fact, Jesus is not a “resource”, he is the “source”. He is the source of all that we could ever want or need. Our true desire is that everyone who comes to our clinic tomorrow would have a personal encounter with Christ himself.

Please help us pray for that to happen. Pray that when the singing begins, and then the preaching takes place, the Holy Spirit would convict and souls would be saved. We start at 12 pm eastern time and covet your prayers. We are extremely thankful for pastor Steve Dixon, pastor Michael Moore and all the others who are making this weekend possible.

Shaun Taylor has prepared some great BBQ and we are ready to go for tomorrow!

Supplies delivered to Baltimore church

Thank you Jesse and Larry Mickle for delivering a load of food boxes, blankets, and other items to Charm City Church in Baltimore yesterday. They loaded up a few days ago in Alabama and made they delivery yesterday on their way to PA. Pastor Michael Kemper is in the inner city where poverty, homelessness and drug addiction abound. It’s our desire to encourage him and be a help to him because he has a heart for those who are lost in the darkness.

Please pray for pastor Kemper and myself as I will be visiting him on Tuesday of next week to see how we can further assist him.

Preaching on Sunday

This Sunday I (Travis) will be preaching at Nottingham Missionary Baptist Church in the morning and at New London Baptist Church in the evening. Hunter will be preaching Sunday evening at Porters Grove Baptist Church in the evening. I’m sure Sarah will be singing too! Please pray for all of us as we minister this weekend.

New warehouse is coming along

We are making great progress on the new warehouse. The loading dock forms are up now and we are waiting on good weather to pour concrete. We are still in need of some materials and ask you to pray for this need. We think that another $3000 will cover the remaining expenses.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support as we labor for the Lord.
