Our Philippine ministry is known as Unsheltered International Philippines, Inc. and is headquartered in Bacolod City on the Island of Negros Occidental. The primary focus of this ministry is bringing help and hope to the children who live on the streets and in squatter villages. We carry out our purpose in three main ways.

The Rescue Center

Our rescue center ministry is located in Talisay City and is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays to serve homeless and vulnerable children and families. Each person who comes to the center receives a bath, new clothing, a warm meal and a church service.

Our loving staff provides transportation to and from the center and goes to great lengths to provide counseling and individual attention. Along with the other items and services provided, many people are assisted with urgent medical needs. The people who attend this evening activity are usually reached first through the street outreach ministry.

Street Children Ministry

Our staff and ministry partners go to the city streets two times each week. They take a simple meal, their first aid backpacks, and lots of compassion.

Each trip out to the streets they encounter new and challenging situations. Sometimes they encounter completely helpless children who are abandoned. Sometimes they interact with older kids who are gang members and hooked on cheap, homemade drugs. Other times, they minister to entire families who are destitute and everything they own is in a few little boxes or bags.

There is, however, one thing that remains consistent: they minister with compassion and mercy in the name of Jesus. Through this late night outreach, we have rescued young girls from prostitution, helped families survive and rescued children from abandonment.

Weekly Meal Centers

We have 13 meal centers where we minister to hungry children every week. The children who attend receive a meal and a Bible lesson tailored just for them. They also sing songs and receive first aid treatment as needed. Learn more here.
