News: Hit-and-Run Leaves Boy Hurt

Teenage boy hurt in hit and run

Three times each week, our staff hits the streets in Bacolod City, Philippines. They visit with homeless children, teenagers, and families, serving meals and sharing the gospel. While visiting this week, they discovered that one of the teenage boys had been the victim of a hit and run accident. They believe it was a motorcycle that ran him over and it seems that the worst of his injuries may be in his leg and foot.

Like many others who live on the streets, he did not seek medical help because he was afraid and had no money. When our staff tried to take him to the hospital he was too afraid because his body was in so much pain. However, they are taking steps right now to ensure that he does, in fact, receive the medical treatment that he desperately needs. Please pray for him and his need. I will be sure to send you an update on his condition as soon as I get one. Also, if he needs surgery or extensive help, I will give an opportunity for you to get involved and help.

New ebook is ready and will be given to you as my free gift soon!

I am thankful for Adrienne Barbee who did the interior layout. My friend Rick Spears made an awesome cover for which I am thankful. Also, several friends gave me some great input and helped me with grammar and other needed corrections. I’ll be giving this ebook to you as a thank you for being a subscriber to our email list. The only thing I ask is that you share with your friends! But don’t share your copy, send them over to our website where they can get their own. I’ll tell you how to do that in a few days when it’s released!

Fall Fundraising Campaign Update

This week was kinda slow in our Fall Fundraising Campaign (hey, I share the great and the not so great updates!). We are now in week 7 of the campaign. That means we only have 6 weeks left!

Total amount raised since October 1st:

I want to thank each one of you who has already given. You have been a tremendous blessing! I am praying that God will open doors and open hearts over the next few weeks and that we will see an outpouring of his provision. The money raised during this campaign is used across all of our ministries and is critical to our mission.

This week on the road

This past Wednesday we had the privilege of stopping by Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, GA to give a ministry update. It was great to see my friend, Pastor Terry Wilson, as well as the members. We had an exciting evening and they were gracious hosts.

This Sunday I will be at Bethel Baptist Church in Blackshear, GA with my friend, Pastor Jason Long. It’s always a joy to be there and share with the church the great things that God has done on the mission field.

Day of giving with our partners

I am grateful for kind partners in the ministry. One of those partner ministries is GPA Mobilization Ministries which is led by Pastor Gary Moore. Together, we have declared November 25th, a day of giving! The cool part is that they have some business people who are willing to match donations on that day.

You can visit their website to find out more about the great opportunities to give and how to do so. Thank you GPA Mobilization Ministries for including us in this opportunity.

As always, thank you for reading, praying, and supporting the Lord’s work through our efforts!
