Pancake Breakfast

I can almost taste the hot, buttery goodness right now! There’s nothing quite like homemade pancakes with rich syrup, country sausage and a cup of coffee or orange juice. I hope your mouth is watering now because mine sure is.

That’s what’s on the menu for this coming Saturday morning at Temple Baptist Church. We, along with the Temple Missions Department are getting together to eat, fellowship and talk about the great things that God is doing through the ministry of Unsheltered International Philippines.

This year we have reached further than ever before, touching hundreds of lives for the glory of God. Each week, many children and adults are being fed, clothed, sheltered and loved by our new staff in Bacolod City Philippines.

Best of all, many people have been saved and baptized!
This new Philippines ministry is one of the most exciting things we have ever done and I would love for you to come and hear all about it. You will hear from myself, my wife April and our children. Hunter and Sarah have a unique perspective on missions that you won’t want to miss! Missions and outreach Pastor Jeff Robertson from Temple will also be speaking.

Many of you have prayed for this ministry and also given towards our efforts. By doing so, it becomes your ministry too. You have followed our updates and read about the awesome things that God has done. This is your opportunity to hear about it from our family and see lots of pictures and a short video. (You can also ask questions.)

Here’s all the information

When: Saturday, August 29th at 9:00 am.

Where: Temple Baptist Church. ( It will be in the gym so you can park around back on the gravel parking lot side.) Update: We are moving it into the Rock (another building at the church. It’s in the front parking lot and has a sign that says “The Rock”). We had to move it there because we didn’t have a projector system that would be adequate in the church gym.

The church address is 30 County Road 1184 Cullman, AL 35056.

Did I mention FREE?? This is totally free and it’s not a fundraiser. We just wanted to update everyone on our progress, fellowship together and say thank you for your prayer and support.

Who? We want everyone to attend. Mom’s, dad’s, children, everyone. Bing a friend if you can!

Do you want to volunteer? Email Tara Philyaw at You can also comment on this post on Facebook, we will watch it!

Come on out and enjoy a time of fellowship with us on Saturday. We hope to meet some new people so if you are interested at all in the ministry of Unsheltered International please plan to attend.

I hope to see you there!
