We need your input!

We have been working hard around here on the new children’s meal center curriculum that we are writing. April, Alyssa, Franklin, Sarah, Hunter and myself just had two intense days of brainstorming and we now have a complete outline along with lesson titles and memory verses. Here’s a picture of our white board!

We have narrowed down the lessons in order to make it easier for you if you want to submit one (or more) to be considered for the curriculum. We decided to use one theme per month and teach 4-5 lessons on that theme. This way, we will be teaching them very specific topics and covering them very well. There will be one memory verse for each month.

This is for the Bible lesson part of the curriculum. My sister Pam Mitchell is helping on the health and hygiene part.

Here is what we need right now:

  • The lessons should be geared for 8 year olds
  • Story format is best
  • Write the lesson and also three questions to ask about the lesson

I have two sample lessons that April and I have written. You can see them here:

The deadline to turn in lessons is December 15 so please HURRY!

To submit a lesson, just email it to me at travis@unsheltered.org. Also, if you are going to write one, please email me and let me know what you are working on so that we won’t duplicate the lessons.
