Weekly Update- New Trip Planned

Hello everyone,

We have had a great week here in Cullman, AL. God has blessed in several ways and it is great to be in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. April and I are excited to tell you that we will be taking a short trip to The Philippines next month. The trip will be February 15-25 and we will be accompanied by Pastor Steve Dixon, his wife Rebekah, and their two boys, Ben and Dillon.

During this trip we will be training our Philippines staff, meeting with an architect , looking at property, visiting the meal centers, accompanying the staff during the street ministry and preaching. I’m getting tired just typing all of that! These shorter trips are important because they help us advance our ministry in various ways. For example, we hope to have a solid idea of building costs after meeting with the architect and land costs after looking at some properties.

Please pray for us to have a successful trip and to get much accomplished during our time on the ground. We have secured our flights already and we are making all of the necessary preparations now. One thing I would like to do is take new hiking boots to our staff. We also need a few other tools for the weekly ministry. If you want to know more about helping make that possible, send me an email by clicking here, and I will give you some details.

A great week with the Ner Family

It has been a pleasure to have Pastor and Mrs. Antonio Ner staying with us for the last few days. Pastor Ner is a church planting missionary and also our partners in the Philippines.

They are here in the United States to raise some additional monthly support for their family and to update their supporters. It was a blessing to have them with me last Sunday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in the morning and at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in the evening. Thank you Pastors Scott Campbell and Dan Boatman. Also, a big thank you to Pastor Malcolm Carter and Temple Baptist Church for hosting Pastor Ner on Wednesday night.

Prayer requests

Please pray for a man named Cletus who needs a place to live. He has a job and is a hard worker and we are praying for an open door.

Please pray for a man named Robbie who has been homeless for quite some time now. We are working to get him into permanent housing.

Please pray for a man named George who is paying $20 per night to sleep on someone’s couch. The house is in horrible condition and he wants to get somewhere better.

Please pray for April Sharpe (my wife), that her illness would improve and that she will do good on our upcoming Philippines trip.

Thank you

Thank you for reading and praying. We are glad to have you as a concerned supporter!
