A little background

The first time I ever met a homeless person I was scared to death! I was a young Bible College student and I thought that it was a complete accident, meeting someone that was homeless. But I couldn’t have been more wrong!

That first meeting, in 1996, Actually changed the course of my entire life.

I began to minister to the homeless after that first meeting and I have never looked back. I absolutely love the calling that God has placed on my life.

Some of my experiences

  • Forming and leading the City Bus Route at Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC from 1997-2001.
  • Starting the Garden City Rescue Mission in Augusta, GA and continuing as the Director from 2001-2009.
  • Started Unsheltered International in 2011.
  • Started Unsheltered International, Philippines in 2015
  • Ministering to street children, squatters, homeless adults in developing nations (Philippines, Costa Rica, Honduras)
  • Partnering with foreign nationals in various ministry venues
  • Preaching revivals and missions conferences across the United States
  • Working in homeless camps and on the streets in over 25 U.S. cities
  • Leading disaster relief efforts in 5 states
  • Prison and jail ministry
  • My testimony was featured on the radio program UNSHACKLED! Produced by Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, IL.

What I am passionate about

I am passionate about ministering to the homeless and telling them about my Savior, Jesus Christ.

I am also passionate about helping other men and women who have a desire to minister to the homeless.

When I first began in this type of ministry, I had tons of questions but no one to look up to. Everything I have learned about ministering to the homeless has been by trial and error (sometimes more error!).

Now, with 18 years of real life experience, I love to share the things I have learned.

How I help other people who minister to the homeless
