This Morning Changed Everything

Early one morning last week, we received a text about a man whose tent had been burned down overnight. We met him where he was and gathered clothing and essentials to help him get through the immediate crisis.
While we were there, another man—59 years old—rode up on a bicycle looking for a job and a place to live. He didn’t want a handout; he wanted a fresh start. I spent some time talking with him and sharing the gospel, and after a few phone calls, a door opened immediately.
The smile on his face said everything.
We helped move him to a local transition home where he can live and go to work, and while unloading, he quietly pulled out a rope and admitted that if things hadn’t worked out that day, his plan was to use the rope to end his life.
But God intervened.
By the end of the day, he was safe, hopeful, and strengthened in Christ. What began with a burned-down tent became a powerful reminder that God is still rescuing lives—sometimes just in time.
This awesome story that happened last week was with our outreach specialists Tim Klein and Mike Mitchell. They do a great job of loving people who are truly at the end of their rope!
Our Share-A-Thon is exactly one week away. Next Thursday from 6pm -9pm live on our Facebook page. As of today, because of early giving, 807 lives will be impacted. If you would like to impact a life today, visit our website at https://www.unsheltered.org/givingcampaign.
