Early one morning last week, we received a text about a man whose tent had been burned down overnight. We met him where he was and gathered clothing and essentials to help him get through the immediate crisis. While we were there, another man—59 years old—rode up on a bicycle looking for a job and a place to live. He didn’t want a handout; he wanted a fresh start. Last week we had some surveying done at the tiny-home village. They laid out the location of the next seven homes, the next septic system, the laundry facility and the tractor shed.  We have another home on order right now, which will make number five.
