Ministry Update 2-4-2022
The Lord has been good to us here lately and we are excited about everything that is going on. I wanted to write to you today with a short update on several fronts. Thanks for reading and following along as we try our best to share Christ and bring help and hope to the unsheltered.
Saved after a year
You just never know what plans God has in store for someone. There is a lady who we began ministering to over a year ago. She was in a very dysfunctional family then, and to be honest, it was a mess. After our first several contacts with her, and after assisting her and her family a few times, things didn't look any better. We were in contact with them off and on for the past year and hadn't heard from them for a while, when she showed back up again.
That was four weeks ago. The great part is that she came to church and got saved! Since that day, the Lord has been blessing her and we have seen a drastic change in her spirit and outlook on everything. We are praising the Lord for what he has done in her life. Please pray for the rest of the family to come to know the Lord as well.
Blessings in the Philippines
We received some new pictures from our Philippines team this week. The team is in full swing, ministering to many people each week. Part of their ministry is street outreach. This is where they go out into the streets and find people who are hungry and hurting. They pray with them, feed them, and love on them right where they are. They also invite them to come to the rescue center for further resources.
After several unavoidable delays, this is the week that the engineers are scheduled to begin the main site plan work for the village project. Please help us pray that all goes as planned and that God gives all the engineers specific wisdom for our ministry. I am really looking forward to taking the next steps.
God is blessing the preparations for our upcoming fundraiser that will be held on March 3rd. This year, we have someone coming in to help us produce the live event. This is a huge blessing because we will be able add some great things into the broadcast to make it even better than the previous years.
Hopefully, we will have some special guests and highlight videos during the event. You won't want to miss these! Many of our supporters are already making their pledges for the fundraiser. As of now, about $9,000 has been pledged. We appreciate that!
We are seeking some business and churches who would like to help in a big way by offering us matching funds. Our prayer is that we can secure at least $25,000 in matching funds. We will use this challenge during the broadcast to "double" the money that is given. Please pray about helping in that way if the Lord leads.
We are always in need of volunteers on Mondays at our ministry warehouse. The volunteers help to sort and hang clothes, move boxes, help people who come in for assistance, and more. Call our office at 256-615-6024 and speak to Tara for more information!
As always, thank you for your prayers as we continue the Lord's work. We appreciate each of you!
