Next Steps for Tiny-Home Project

Here’s an update about where we are with the development of the tiny-home village project in Cullman.

We are in the process of developing 17 acres of land into a tiny-home village to be used as a long term program to help people transition from homelessness to productive citizens. This program will focus on Christian discipleship, personal responsibility, and education. Each resident will live in a tiny home as they work to provide for themselves and go through the program.

We are developing this land and building the village in a debt-free manner, and in three phases. Currently, we are more than halfway through phase one of the development process. This phase will include four program homes, one caretaker home, and an office.

In the past month we have had the water meter installed, begun to put rock on the roadways, and sowed fescue grass seed throughout the property. We are looking forward to the next steps of moving our modular office, installing the first septic system, and running water and power lines. All of these necessary steps are getting us closer and closer to the first five homes coming in.

God has really blessed us and we are so grateful for all the help that’s got us to this point. Please continue to pray with us for the Lord’s blessings. Our construction fund is low and we need to replenish it before we can resume work. The next financial needs are listed below.

Specific Village prayer requests and needs

  • Pray for the permits needed to move our new modular office to the property.

  • Pray for funds to install the first septic system ($14,000)

  • Pray for funds to finish up the middle road and first house pads. ($11,500)

  • Pray for wisdom as we navigate the rest of the phase one construction.

If you would like to donate for these needs, you can do so online by clicking here, or, use our mailing address below.
